Valdete Berisha

Valdete Berisha leads the communications strategy for CGAP’s FinDev Gateway platform. As a senior member of the CGAP’s communications team, she is responsible for advising CGAP’s managers and technical teams on external relations, communities of practice, influence strategies, and editorial excellence. In addition, Valdete manages CGAP’s communications analytics framework which measures the effectiveness of CGAP’s communication channels and how CGAP’s knowledge products reach and influence target audiences.

Valdete has extensive experience in research and communications in international development, including financial inclusion, microfinance, global trade, and agriculture policy. Before joining CGAP in 2016, Valdete worked at the World Bank’s agriculture global practice, leading communications for the Agriculture Finance Support Facility (AGRIFIN). Prior to that, she spent seven years at the International Food Policy Research Institute’s (IFPRI) Markets, Trade & Institutions division, conducting research on global trade negotiations and multilateral trade agreements.

Valdete has a Master’s degree in Global Commerce and Policy from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government.
